For the past twenty years, John Bellamy Foster has researched, written, and taught on the subjects of environmental sociology, political economy, and sociological theory. Foster's numerous books range in topic from the environmental effects of capitalism to post-9/11 American imperialism.
Foster has taught at the University of Oregon since 1986, as Professor of Sociology since 2000.
